Bruno Paillard Premiere Cuvee Extra Brut NV (750ml/6)
About Bruno Paillard
The vineyard worked by Maison Bruno Paillard is the result of a very patient quest; a quest which has relied on a deep knowledge of the Champagne region and a very precise vision for the resulting wine.
The Maison owns vineyards with an area of 25ha which represents 50% of the grapes it needs, and is composed of 89 individual plots, which include 19 Crus (six Grand Crus and five Premiers Crus) with multiple orientations, most of which are on the predominantly chalky terroirs of Champagnes ...
Available Markets: New York, National, New JerseyTasting Notes
The attack is lively thanks to the low dosage which respects the authenticity of the wine. The nose is confirmed with the first flavors of citrus fruits, almonds, toast … but also redcurrant jelly and black fruits like cherry, fig or blackberry.
Reviews
James Suckling
"This is a bold, rich and slightly raw NV that has plenty of red and green apple aromas on the nose with fresh yeasty autolysis; quite elemental. The palate has a boldness, a rawness and an assertive green apple and honey core of flavor that's crisp and succulent."
