Founded by Larry Hyde in 1979, Hyde Vineyards is located in the heart of Napa Valley’s Carneros region. Hyde Vineyards has long been hailed a grand cru-caliber site primarily known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit, used by some of the most highly acclaimed wine producers in Napa and Sonoma Valleys. In 2009, Larry debuted his own small-lot Pinot Noir project. Today, the Hyde Vineyards Estate Winery looks over the acclaimed vineyards near the Carneros Highway corridor surrounded by 25 acres planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The estate features a state-of-the-art production facility and an elegant tasting room where guests are welcomed to by-appointment, seated tastings of estate-grown wines that showcase several varietals made from this unique terroir.
Sauvignon Blanc
La Camensarde
The fruit for this wine is sourced from the Central Vineyards of the Loire Valley. Following direct pressing, the must is settled at low temperatures to favor the expression of citrus aromas. Fermentation in stainless steel occurs first at 18-20°C during the first third of the fermentation, and then adjusted to 13-14°C.
Pyramid Valley
Wines that breathe of their place: Our story begins in a magical place where magnificent native birds once roamed and soared, where the earth produces in abundance and the stars align for greatness. This unique site of altitude, limestone, slope, rock and rich soil is our Waikari Estate and home to some of the most profound Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines in the world. In 2018 our story breathed a new chapter when we purchased a new vineyard, the Manata Estate in Lowburn, Central Otago. The vineyard has produced exceptional Pinot Noir since 2002 and is home to our Central Otago Pinot Noir. Across both sites biodynamic viticulture and a natural approach to winemaking create handcrafted wine that breathes of its place and tastes like nowhere else on earth.

Rottensteiner
For over 50 years Rottensteiner has been continuing on the dream of our grandfather, Hans, in producing our own wine.
Founded in 1956, Hans’ focus was selling open wines from the winery to Switzerland. In the 1980’s, his son Toni changed over to marketing bottled wines, and since 2001 he has been supported by his grandson Hannes. Not only have the grapes from the family’s 10 hectares been processed from the onset, but also that of 50 regional grape growers as well. This close cooperation has extended for generations and is essentially responsible for the excellent quality of the wines.
Rottensteiner has been consciously committed to the varietal character of the particular wines with a clear focus on the Bolzano varieties Lagrein and St. Magdalener.
ZEPH
In 1985, inspired by the pioneering efforts of other Marlborough mavericks, the Glover family converted their farm in Dillons Point to vine. Being a third generation farming family meant that there was a natural ability to see the potential in the land for vineyards and ultimately the production of world-class wine. In 2007 Owen and Wendy Glover’s passion for growing grapes finally overflowed into the desire to release their own brand – Zephyr, inspired by the prevailing wind that cools their vineyards. The wines immediately created a stir in the United Kingdom with Tim Atkin writing “If I were to choose one Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at the moment it would be Zephyr.” With sons Jack and Ben on board (Ben is currently winemaker for the Accolade NZ Group), this family affair continues to attract the attention of sommeliers and the international press. From the value-driven Massey Dacta label to the Zephyr labeled wines, all wines are made from estate-grown fruit grown according the standards of the NZ Sustainable Winegrowing Association. Massanois is proud to represent their wines in the U.S. for the first time!
SOLI
The journey that is Soliste reflects the passion and commitment born of old world beliefs and traditions joined in a way that transcends individual ideas. We are particularly inspired by winemakers who have challenged the status quo to elevate their region or cépage to grand cru level. Central to our philosophy is to be bold, experimental, and take risks; not arbitrarily, but with intent, diligence, and a long term vision. The rebellious voice of the Master of St Andelain, the self-taught iconoclast Didier Dagueneau, echos in our winery, “If you want to be the best, you need the methods and techniques to get you there: Your vines must bear the best grapes; your vinification must be the most rigorous. There are no recipes. It’s all in the details of viticulture and all the details of winemaking, the assemblage of little things, 100 details and commitments which makes for the minute differences between a good wine and a great one.”
Our quest to create wines of great finesse and com-plexity requires patience, tenacity, and a singular focus on uncompromising standards. It is also a commitment to sacrifice production to trace the footsteps of the Cistercian Monks of Vougeot: to focus on a single clone from a single vineyard and age in single cooperage to craft extraordinary wine that exemplify their identity and sense of place – Terroir – our MonoClone® Pinot Noir.
[The International Wine Review gives high praise to the wines of Soliste.]
