The 2014 Site Syrah Bien Nacido Vineyards was harvested September 20. It’s 100% Syrah from BNV’s Block 4, farmed organically. The wine aged for 18 months in a combination of puncheons and barriques. The nose offers blackberries, blueberries, black and white pepper and violets. The mouth is dense with abundant tannins and acid. It is 100% Syrah, fermented with 10% stems and aged 20 months with lees stirring in one new French oak demi-muid and two neutral French oak barrels. Unfiltered. 100 cases made.
