After three years of regularly tasting this winery at Vinitaly, we were finally able to persuade Mamete Prevostini to join Massanois. The Prevostini family have been producing wine on the terraced slopes of Valtellina since the mid-1940s. The family had long owned an historic restaurant in Sondrio at the gateway to the Valtellina in far northern Italy, in the foothills of the Dolomites in Lombardy, for which they made some house wines from the local Nebbiolo (here called Chiavennasca) and reserve ...

Bright pink in color, the nose is expressed with fresh red fruit and intense mineral nuances. In the mouth, balanced fruit and a pleasant refreshing aftertaste in which we can feel fresh raspberries and roses. Service with meat or fish dishes or raw finger food.
