Made from 100% estate grown Vespaiola, a true native of the Breganze area. Like many other grapes in Italy, the Vespaiola name comes from “vespa” and refers to the wasps that usually like to feed off the ripe berries of this variety. Known for his high acidity, Maculan’s Vespaiolo is fermented dry in temp-controlled stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts and released after a brief aging in bottle.
Pale yellow with light greenish hues, Vespaiolo offers notes of citrus, fresh herbs and lemon. The finish is framed by a refreshing, zesty acidity. Makes a great pairing with asparagus and fish crudo.
