Cazes Rivesaltes Ambre 2004 (750ml/12)
Tasting Notes
Domaine Cazes Rivesaltes Ambré 2004 shows a deep amber-copper color and an expressive, mature bouquet of dried apricot, fig, orange peel, and citrus marmalade layered with toasted almond, walnut, caramel, and hints of gingerbread and honeycomb. On the palate, it is lusciously sweet yet beautifully balanced by fresh acidity, revealing flavors of candied citrus, dried stone fruits, toffee, and molasses with a rich, nutty oxidative character. The texture is smooth and viscous, leading to a long, warming finish marked by spice, tea leaf, and lingering notes of caramelized fruit. It’s a complex, contemplative fortified wine that pairs exceptionally well with blue cheese, nut-based desserts, or dark chocolate with orange accents.
