La Rasina Brunello di Montalcino 2013 (750ml/12)
About La Rasina
There are fewer and fewer of them, but this estate is still a true Montalcino born, family run estate. La Rasina was founded in the early 1970’s by the grandfather of the Mantengoli family, Santi. Later managed by Vasco, his son, and now by Marco, his grandson, the estate shows the dedication and excellence of an endeavor kept in the hands of one hardworking family over many years. La Rasina is located on the fine southeastern slope, or morning side of Montalcino in the Brunello DOCG area. ...New York, New Jersey, California, Massanois Imports
Ruby red color with fruit and spices on the nose; strong and persistent. Best enjoyed two hours after opening.
Vinous Media"Deep red. Perfumed violet and black cherry aromas and flavors are complicated by chocolate and coffee. Very smooth and balanced, this lovely wine lingers long on the perfumed, precise aftertaste." - Ian D'Agata
James Suckling"A wealth of ripe fruit with spice, tobacco, cedar and plum aromas that follow through to a full body, chewy and dense tannins and a ripe and delicious finish. A solid and stoic young red. Give it three or four years to soften. Made from organic grapes." - James Suckling
