About Domaine Des Enfants
“The foundation of Domaine des Enfants is the realization of a dream – to be one with yourself, others and nature. Therefore our wines are the result of working within and together with nature.
The love and energy invested in the care of our powerful and exceptional vines gives us peace and satisfaction. To witness how these frugal plants thrive and gain strength due to our care fills us with pride, and is an enormous gratification. With our work we want to use our creativity in order ...New York, New Jersey, California, Massanois Imports
“The 2012 Côtes Catalanes ‘Suis l’étoile’, which is Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre offers loads of smoke, toast, liquorice, and cured meats to go with a core of black raspberry, cassis and kirsch-styled fruit. Full-bodied, seamless, layered and balanced, with a blockbuster finish, it will deliver the goods over the coming 7-8 years, probably longer.” The Wine Advocate 2014
Wine Advocate"The 2012 IGP Cotes Catalanes Suis L'Etoile is another long elevage release (24 months in used oak) based on Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Mourvèdre. It shows plenty of oak as well as notes of black raspberries, plums, vanilla, licorice and toasted spice on the nose. These give way to a big, rich, concentrated wine that will evolve for a decade. This was a slightly disappointing showing by Marcel Buhler and Carrie Sumners Domaine des Enfants, and after tasting these wines from barrel last year, I think they could have been better if bottled earlier. As such, theyre certainly good wines - with serious levels of concentration - but they come up a touch short on elegance and freshness. " - Jeb Dunnuck, March 2016
