About the Winery
Situated in the heart of Gascogne, Domaine des Persenades has been a family estate since 1650 and plays host to over 90ha of Ugni-Blanc, Colombard, Sauvignon, Gros-Manseng, Petit-Manseng, Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard area covers the terroir of Ténarèze, where the clay and gravel soil gives regional typicity to the wines. The estate was named by Roger Marou, a recognized Armagnac producer during the turn of the century – “Persenades” was actually the name of a parcel of vines known throughout the region for its aromatic qualities. The domain is committed to quality, respecting the charter of independant winegrowers, and is also certified Excellence Gers and Bienvenue à la Ferme, with an established “Agriculture Raisonée” Policy.
